Adding links

We will now go on to link the words activities and resources so that they link to the relevant forums in our Moodle website.

Before we link the first word, we will already make sure we have the link ready. To do so, we go to the second tab in the browser (the one that says "MO101: Feedback about activities), and we copy the web link from the address bar (in this case: http://localhost/moodle/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=3). Next, we go back the first tab, where we had our message for the General feedback forum ready.

To create a link for each word, we simply highlight the words we want to link, and then click on the link icon, which will open a new window, in which we can subsequently paste our link (via right-click and paste, or via CTRL-V). Clicking on the OK button will take you back to the main window, and the word activities will be linked. We repeat the procedure for the word resources; if everything went right, the result should be as in the following screen:

Formatting the rest of the text follows pretty much the same procedure as in any other modern word processor you can think of, and should therefore pose no serious problems.

ic_LetOp Note: clicking on the question mark next to the word Message will give you some interesting information regarding reading, writing, and asking good and interesting questions.

Clicking on "Save changes" will confirm the changes made to our forum via the message "your post was updated", and take us back to the overview of all the discussions.
